We all love to be ninjas, wielding the katana and striking enemies from the shadows. Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun allows you to experience the all-time ninja experience like never before.
Set in ancient Edo feudal Japan period, players freely manipulate three heroes switching from one to the other as they please. Each hero bears a unique skill set of up to four attributes, as to which the player is tested on his ability to use them as an advantage when attempting to complete complex quests.
Every level is a labyrinth of mysterious puzzles dedicated to testing the intelligence of players in a broader perspective. Critical thinking is essential when it comes down to bypassing a troop of ten Bushido Warriors patrolling the area.
Overall the game does mystify the ways of the ninja. The less detection, the better and easier it gets. One of the other blemishes the game shares it the stiff camera controls that prove rather irritating to those not accustomed to it, though after a while of getting used to, it’s actually not that bad.
If you love a challenge, then this is the game for you. Take up the sword of the ninja and assassinate all that stand in your way.
